On the second qualifying day of the 44th edition of „Turnier der Meister“, Team Germany won four more spots to participate at the finals. The Lausitz-Arena was almost sold out today when Lukas Dauser in particular impressed in his favorite discipline, the parralel bars. Having to face very strong competitors, Dauser from Unterhachingen came 3rd place with 15,000 points. Only Chinese Hao You (15,166) and Ukrainian Olympic champion Oleg Verniaiev (15,066) obtained higher scores.
On the high bar, Andreas Toba missed the eight place to reach the final on Sunday by just 0.33 points. Japanese Hidetaka Miyachi showed a spectacular routine and won the 1st place, followed by the two Chinese Xuwei Hu and Chenlong Zhang. Igor Radivilov (photo), who is a gymnast from SC-Cottbus and last year's vault winner won the men's vault. No German gymnast participated in this discipline.
It was a great day for the German women. On the floor, Kim Bui qualified third for the final, while both Sophie Scheder and Lisa Zimmermann reached the final on Sunday's balance beam competiton.
