1st final day at 44. Turnier der Meister
The first day of finals at the 44th Turnier der Meister saw gymnasts from Asia dominate across the board With four of the five trophies went to China.

The first glas trophy at the 44th Turnier der Meister went to Kazuku Minami of Japan in the men’s floor final. The winner of Thursdays floor competition improved his routine once more (D-score 6.6) and finished with a score of 15.100 for a fantastic routine. The silver medal went to Rayderley Zapate of Spain and bronze to Hayden Skinner of Great Britain.

Spectators were treated to top notch routines on pommel horse immediately after. Here, Oleg Verniaiev of Ukraine was in the hot seat with a score 14,866 for the longest time until he was bested by Hao Weng of China, as one of the last starters in the finals, who finished in first with a score of 15,000. Kaito Imabayashi of Japan, the last starter in the pommel final, finished in second place with 14,966

The women’s vault competition saw the Glas trophy go to China once again. Linmin Yu clearly dominated the field with two excellent jumps (14,696). The silver medal went to Teja Belak of Slovenia (14,649) and bronze to Yesenia Ferrera of Cuba.

The last round of day one of finals saw the “Asian games” continue. Yang Liu of China finished in first with an easy looking routine with a score of 15,133 in front of Eleftherios Petrounias of Greece and Artur Avetisyan of Armenia.

The first day of finals at the 44th Turnier der Meister saw gymnasts from Asia dominate across the board With four of the five trophies went to China. In the end, the trophy for the uneven bars competition went to China, who ended up winning four out of five finals, as well.
Yilin Fan performed a clean routine to win gold before Russia’s Anastasiia Agafonova. Both Kim Bui and Sophie Scheder of Germany showed good routines finishing in 5th and 8th respectively.
